Ingredients
- approx. 40 fresh cherries, pitted

Method
Step 1
Place cherries, maple syrup and 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) each nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves in saucepan set over medium-low heat; allow mixture to just heat through; remove from heat and steep cherries in syrup while doing next steps.
Step 2
In bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, orange juice and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon. Pour into wide high-sided dish. Soak bread slices in egg mixture.
Step 3
Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook soaked bread, 3 to 4 min. per side, until golden brown. Divide onto 4 serving plates. Top with cherry sauce to serve.
